What Have I Done to my Brain?
Over the past year I’ve developed a curiosity about building a greater number of happy moments for myself and others. With that comes a lot of podcast listening, book reading and coursework.
Recently I came across a more biological viewpoint to happiness by Dr. Amen, who noted that there are multiple types of brains, which impacts our interests. Additionally, he cues in on head injuries, exercise, and intake as huge impacts.
My Brain Stuff
Turns out that I may have lower dopamine levels which can influence my motivation and focus. Also, I can be quite strong minded and persistent. One last point was that I may struggle with worry and sleep troubles.
But how have I been caring for it before now, especially with these relatable characteristics? Not well enough considering I am a person who struggles with anxiety and depression. Obviously there are some extra steps I should be taking and maybe could stop taking my antidepressant…
