Intro
Self-care for healthcare workers is more important now than ever, but its the same for everyone else!
Self-care comes in so many forms and one size does not fit all.
The following list has multiple suggestions of self-care, some suitable for COVID restrictions and others not so much. That said, hopefully one or two options resonate with you!
Remember, self-care is important for healthcare (yours) too!
The List
- Buy new scrubs.
2. Order take-out instead of making a meal.
3. Meditation (can do this on a break with headphones).
4. Practice Breathwork (can do this on break too).
5. Book a facial or give yourself one.
6. Book a massage (can’t do this one on yourself, but see if you have insurance coverage).
7. Order a specialty coffee or tea at a nice café.
8. Write down positive affirmations (examples: “I am a good nurse.” “I am appreciated.”).
9. Reach out to a supportive co-worker if struggling with a work-related stress.
